October 1937 and became GAO 545 on 2 September 1938.
On May 10, 1940, the GAO
545 is attached to the 9th Army of the 1st Air Division of the ZOAN
(North Air Operations Area).
GAO 545 was dissolved on
1st July 1940.

In
1934, Captain Auguste DISCORS was posted to Hanoi, Vietnam.
In 1937, he was made an Officer of the Legion of Honour in recognition
of his 17 years of service and five campaigns.
In 1939, Auguste DISCORS took command of GAO 545.
After the war, he left the Air Force in 1953 with the rank of
Reserve Commander. He returned to service in February 1957 and
was assigned to North Africa.
Auguste DISCORS ended his career with the rank of Lieutenant
Colonel.

He obtained
his pilot's licence on 5 March 1937 and was assigned to GAR
525 in St Jean D'Angély before joining GAO 545. After
the Armistice, he was transferred to GAO 590 based in Gabès
(Tunisia).
Stéphane DUBOIS was killed on 11 October 1944 in Schodike,
the Netherlands, while fighting with Group IV/2 Ile
de France. His Spitfire IX was hit by flak and crashed
to the ground. His body was found two weeks later in the wreckage
of his aircraft.

Mariage voluntarily enlisted in the artillery in August 1914.
He was qualified as an aircraft observer in February 1917
and was seconded to the air force in March.
Demobilised in 1919, he was transferred to the reserves. He
was recalled to active service in 1939 and was first posted
to GAO 545 in August 1939, then to the 1/36 reconnaissance
group of the 11th land army. He took part in the French campaign
and became commander of GAO III/551 in May 1940.
Demobilised in August 1940, he joined the Free French Forces
in 1942. Pierre Mariage served periods in the reserves after
the war and left the reserve army with the rank of Colonel.
